Our Passive House-constructed View Haus 5 townhomes and Park Passive, Seattle’s first Passive House, will be featured during the Passive House NW PHnw6 conference project tour on Saturday, March 28th from 11-1 pm. The annual conference brings together the area’s leaders in high performance construction and will feature Seattle’s premier Passive House and high-performance constructed projects.
View Haus 5 is the city’s first Passive House-constructed townhome project. Delivering healthy indoor air, thermal comfort and quiet in the city’s urban core, the project was designed by the award-winning b9 Architects and named for its five distinct home designs that share views of the Cascade Mountains. With a mix of modern 3-story townhomes, View Haus 5 bucks the cookie-cutter trend with individually designed units. View Haus 5 features advanced framing, pin pile foundations, heat recovery ventilation, non-toxic finishes for healthy indoor air quality, solar panels and rain gardens for greater resource efficiency.
Park Passive is our first Passive House project and the city’s first certified Passive House. Designed by NK Architects, the 2,710 square foot single family home, located in the city’s Madison Park neighborhood, meets the rigorous standards of the PassivHaus Institut by reducing heating energy consumption by nearly 90%.
Join us for the tour and preview the other high-performance projects featured.
